    Default Hello

Hi I'm Eva Lincoln, I live in Washington Georgia (near Athens).
I am going to get my hunting license soon, I'm still looking for the books I need to study for the test. I was wondering if there are any falconers
out this way, it seems like a good area for a falconer to fly their bird.
I have been to the Georgia falconry association web site and no dice.
I want to know if there are any falconers in my area before I put any
more money into this. I have plenty of room for a RT (2 acres.
And a choice of a shed or part of the barn that I can convert into a mews)

Hi Eva - Welcome to NAFEX. I live out east near Alabama, but you might look for the contact #'s or email addresses for the officers of Ga Falconry Assoc. , and see if they can point you to someone in your area. Perhaps you might ask about a membership etc...In the meantime go ahead and get your Falconry package from Ga DNR. The contact #'s for this are on the Ga. Falconry Assoc. web page. There is another club in Ga. (Georgia Gamehawkers). Both can give you details as to requirements etc... Nafex. has an apprentice sub forum that would be of benefit.
    Good Luck -
    Dennis Miller
