    Default Falconry article

I thought I would share with the group an article I wrote for the NYS Conservationist about falconry. The original, much longer edition, was first published in the July 2013 edition of Fur Fish Game

    I hope you enjoy it

Great article, Chris! It's always fun to read about other people's introductions and experiences with falconry for the first time. Great photos too- is that the bird you hunted with? It looks to me like a Finnish Goshawk, not a Northern Goshawk.

Thank you . I am glad you guys enjoyed it. I love sharing falconry with others and that first outing was all I needed to get hooked.

@moperegrine, you are correct, that is a finnish gos. I found out after I had submitted the article.

    Chris,

I learned after my post that the Finnish Gos is just a "European model" of the Northern Goshawk... Not trying to point out any errors, but shows I'm always learning!

No worries, we are all learning. I learned that shortly after it was published.
