    Default Edit button

Can you all see the edit button or is it gone immediately. There is a set amount of time that the edit button stays. The reason I do this is so an entire thread is not rearranged because someone changes their mind. I can increase the edit button time... let me know

    thanks

Chris, it has gone away for me sometimes immediately, sometimes after a certain amount of time. I may be wrong but I think if someone post a post after you have post, you can no longer edit so the time span gets eliminated immediately.

It was there and I just now added this but no one had posted after me yet.

Ok, you just posted and my edit button is still available, so there goes that theory! LOL

You posted 2 times after mine and as you can see, I can still edit, so it seems to be working.

It is still there Chris, seems to be working!

I see it all the time. Not sure if that is because of mod status.

It comes and goes for me too, I can't figure out the logic on which ones I can edit and which ones I can't.

    Testing edit button.

EDIT: It appears that this post currently has an edit button, but my previous post doesn't. I think it may be that the edit is on a time limit before it disappears?

For what appears to be many of us the edit button is never there at all, even a second after the post is submitted. Although it seems to vary at times from one forum to another. I can edit this post but not posts made in the Shortwings or General forums, for example. I believe the problem is occurring at the quantum level.

Hey Chris. Edit button on mine has only been available a few times. Otherwise, it is not even present immediately after posting.

I had a post I made yesterday that I tried to embed a vimeo video, it looked ok but didn't play. Now I returned to the post and the vimeo script is doing all sorts of crazy things but the edit button is gone (it was on the post yesterday) so I can't fix it.

The edit button doesn't work for me on any of my posts, even when visible. I don't know if this is an issue anyone else is having but wanted to let a moderator know.
