New from Ohio

Hi, my name is Crystal and I have been interested in getting into falconry. It will still be awhile before I fully take the plunge as I would like us to move so we have more space to have good housing for the bird. But I have been more curious lately so am hoping to find more information or possibly someone near us who would like to answer any questions we may have (the other half is getting interested in falconry too), maybe show us the ropes and if all goes well help find a sponsor in the future as well.

A little about us, we live in the southeast corner of Ohio, near Athens. We are both avid hunters. Enjoy deer hunting, we have a lot of fun running our coonhounds, and have just jumped into bird hunting with our new Brittany pup. I work in the realm of wildlife, mainly with birds, but watching them is not as fun as getting hands on.

Looks like you've already met Andrew. My name is Joe Dorrian and I'm the Apprentice Director for the Ohio Falconry Association. You'll probably be directed to me initially, so if you've got any particular questions, feel free to PM me.
