The Crossley ID Guide: Raptors

Picked up this book at a Barnes and Nobles yesterday for some light reading as I'm visiting someone and it was the only book in the store remotely connected to Falconry.

Speaking as someone still learning, I've found it fairly interesting in helping distinguish between birds in the field. Full color two page spreads of each species it covers in multiple poses and shows differences between juveniles, adults, sexes, etc. After the picture spreads, it goes into details of their flight style, size and shape, plumage, geographic variegation, molt, similar species, and a general overview.





I'm still learning as much as I can before diving in so this maybe a 101 book for identification but I'm enjoying it. Anyone else have this book and did it help you?
