Hello All,

I'm new to falconry and was excited to find this forum and its associated members and wealth of information. Looking forward to learning from those who are currently or have been to, where I'd like to go with the sport. I'm just here to soak up as much as I can and to contribute in any way that might be helpful. I'm scheduled to take my exam later this week and then the real work begins. Thanks for taking the time and effort to both set up and keep up these forums.

Welcome and good luck on the exam. Anita and those gals at the DWR are really great. I just retested after taking a few years off. Know all your raptor terminology really well along with equipment and health terminology.

Thanks for the welcome, guys! Hey Trygg, what is the typical grading/response time on the exam? It has been over a week now, but I'm not sure about the timetable. Should I follow up with them or just wait for them to contact me?

It took about 4 weeks to get my results. I would wait at least another week before calling.

They send a letter in about a week. Then you have to call your region office to setup a facility inspection. I have the guys name and number for Salt Lake County.

Thanks for the input guys. I got word that I passed my exam, so now I need to get to some serious work on my mews and equipment. I also need to find a sponsor, so I definitely have plenty to do. If any of you happen to know of any resources regarding potential sponsors, I'm most definitely open to any advice or direction.
