    Default old micro transmitter

My friend just received an old marshall transmitter that i am assuming is a micro. it is about the same size as my new micros and has a single large round post on the bottom that the tail spring fits on and a bewit mount on it, the transmitter is about 20 years old or so. we have no idea what battery it takes, does anyone have an idea.

Marshall typically inscribes a serial or model number on the outside of their transmitters. Find that number and send a query to Marshall and they should be able to tell you both when it was made and the correct battery to use.

    Default Micro batteries

There are only a few candidates in the flat CR lithium batteries.
The current Micro uses a CR1225. That is 12 mm diameter by 2.5 mm thick. This should be the most likely possibility. Check the inside dimensions of the battery compartment.
