    Default Arizona's Desert Hawking Classic

Arizona's annual winter meet, the DHC, will be in Casa Grande this year January 23-24. The last time it was in Casa Grande the rabbit populations were amazing, I think it was one of the best meets I'd been to.

No additional paperwork or permits needed to bring your bird to AZ. Non resident temporary hunting licenses look to be $20/day and can be bought at any AZ wally world or sporting goods store.

I have been to a couple of the Desert Hawking Classic meets and they are nothing but a super fun time. If all works out, I'll be attending this years {2015} event.

I have reservations. I always get cold feet just before making a 10+ hr trip, so keep the stories coming.

    What's land access like?

There's lots of abandoned lots, open sage, and desert washes to work in every direction. You should totally go!!!

Maybe she'll get lucky.. I went to jury duty a few months ago. We went through the whole selection process all morning, went to lunch, and came back to find out they settled out of court.

Not lucky. She got selected. Plus, it's snowing hard right now and we're expected to get 12+ ". I couldn't get out if I had to and I'm pretty sure the jury's gonna be held up tomorrow too, as 1/2 the people there live in the country like we do and are gonna be snowed in just like we are gonna be in an few hours.

I don't recall, but Ken or Charlie would know. Pretty sure they keep a master list of everything that was donated.

PM me if you need contact information.

Im thinking about attending the 2016 Hawking Classic in Kingman Arizona just to watch. Im not a falconer but would like to be sometime in the future when I have more resources. My question is can I attend? would that be weird if I went or would I be a bother?

They posted it on facebook on the hardcore hawkers page. There wasn't an email and it isn't posted on the AzFA website.

One of the officers texted this to me when I asked for info.

The Desert Classic is always a fun meet. Phillipee, no, its not weird that you would want to attend. People come to this event that aren't falconers all the time. Bring a camera if you want. You will get to go out on hunts with some of the falconers. I am gonna be in South Africa, so, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend this year.

I was really hoping to make it this year, but looks like I won't be able to get away from work during that time. Have fun everyone that goes, post some pics!
