    Default Hello from Texas!

I recently began researching Falconry again and stumbled onto this site. I previously fell in love with the sport when I was too young to pursue it (I was 13, and my parents weren't wild about the idea of an 8x8x8 mews in the backyard), but that didn't stop me from tagging along with a very accommodating master falconer and his Peregrine for some great duck hunts in south Texas!

I'm now much older and have the ability to investigate the world of falconry with a new perspective. I am deeply interested in all of the knowledge I can find and devour about this great sport. I look forward to learning a lot from all of the members here!

I'm located in the DFW, for those that are curious.
    Thanks!

I found the THA almost immediately when I started looking into falconry again. They have a lot of great resources on their site, and I will definitely be joining. Thanks!

Welcome! My daughter and I just took and passed the new Texas test. If you decide you want to become a falconer and take the exam shoot me a message and I'll try and help you get an idea of how to study.
