There has been a falconry bird spotted on the western slope with jesses and bells. The bird has been spotted around Pitkin Mesa... western most entrance (turn at Conoco) in Paonia, Colorado on the north fork of the Gunnison River. The bird has been around for approximately 4 days. I asked if anyone has a picture of the bird and no one seems to have a photo of the bird... one lady thinks the birds is a peregrine and others believe it to be a hawk. This bird has been spotted trying to catch chickens and was spotted stooping turkeys. I was told that the local rehabbers are trying to trap the bird so they can strip it of its equipment and release it. If anyone has any knowledge of a lost bird, please contact me as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Deanna
