    Default Hello from East Texas

Howdy! I am A. Hurley; a 13 year old lady apprentice falconer from East Texas. My father is Sader762, and this is our first year.

I got into falconry because my sponsor brought his PFRT, Rodeo, to the fall festival in our church. I saw him and his bird and instantly knew I wanted to do the same. It took some convincing and research, but my parents gave me the go-ahead. My father decided to do falconry with me because he didn't want me doing this by myself.

I currently am working with my sponsor's old redtail for my first year, since I have to be sixteen to become a general falconer in Texas, and it's been lots of fun so far. I hope to get to meet you in the forums, and wish you a Happy New Year!

The only regret I have in falconry is that I didn't get involved in it MUCH sooner! You are starting at an awesome age! ENJOY!!!

Hey Aubrey! How did you enjoy the weekend? I think you were one of only two people to catch a cotton tail this weekend! Contrats!

Hi! Alyssa and I had a great time at the meet thins weekend. Alyssa and Rodeo ended up catching 4 pack rats and 1 cottontail rabbit. She had a great time, especially getting to meet other lady Falconers.
