Hello everyone!

I'm Freddy and I'm a college student at the University of Florida.
For a while now I've been interested in falconry, its history, rules, and so on. I figure now's the time to reach out to the falconry community to learn more!
For now I'm limited to simply appreciating the art, but after I graduate soon I hope I might find someone who I can apprentice under.

I'm told Florida has about 160 licensed falconers/hawkers. There is a get together this weekend in Mt Dora of the FHF. Info would be on their web site.

You can look into the two clubs in Florida, the Florida Hawking Fraternity and the Florida Falconers Association. You can also check out florida gamehawkers on facebook. We frequently post about planned hunts and invite out apprentices and pre-apprentices to join us.
