    Default Lost Gyr/Saker Falcon

Lost Gyr/Saker falcon on May 6,2016 in the area of Belvidere, Illinois.
USFWS marker #R0044006. Falcon is brown and white. One transmitter was found on the ground below a old dead tree, the other transmitter was not giving off a signal for what ever reason. This is a 6 year old, imprinted bird and will generally come to people and responds to kites with or without a lure. This is a friends bird that we were flying. Please call 847-302-6626 with any information.

    Thank you.

Was this bird recovered? I'm going to be a couple hundred miles south of there in a few days. I'll take a couple pigeons and a harness if not. I know it's a long shot by now, but....

A lot of birds I've flown have been smarter than a lot of people I have met.
