    Default gyr x saker

Hi i received this email with pics of a light colored gyr saker that was spotted in Montreal yesterday, some birders got some really good pics I was excited hoping it was mine. The one pics clearly shows what looks like a marshal scout transmitter leg mount. Here is the info I received, there are some contacts in the email and i believe some of them are falconers. Hope this helps!

    Kitty,
If it's not your bird, which you obviously know is a gyr/saker, why are you convinced it is a gyr /saker-it looks like it could also be a gyr/peregrine. Just curious.

That is sort of random Ray. There were 2 posts in this thread before yours and neither was from Kitty.

Wow, a bit of a senior moment there, I was posting to Jon, I think I just looked at the avatar and it reminded me of Kitty Carrols. DOUBLE DOH!

I live 45 minutes in downtown of Montreal, however, I don't fly my birds in downtown. Nor do a lot of falconers fly their bird IN montreal.... It's probably a bird that belongs to one of the falconers in the AQFA club. Than again, a lot of us here use Hawks here (not many fields here) . I do know one person that owns a Gyr/Saker, but he lives in Gatineau,Quebec. Hope it's your bird!
