My wife and I will be going. Hopefully I'll have my passage prairie by then. Not having the best of luck down here in AZ. Hope to meet you all in person!

Is this why NAFA meets are never in dry counties?

I'll be there... probably going to bring a pair of HH's, but mainly I want to focus on working with my dogs. I've got a new GSP puppy and a 2 yr old GSP, hoping to get them a LOT of time in the field and have some fun.

@Fred - I've got a few bottles of bourbon to bring along too, and some favorite beer, etc.

Of course. We can't get as good a deal from the hotel because they aren't figuring in the profits from the bar.

I was looking at the Non-resident 5-day license online, and it says that it isn't valid for quail, but I don't see an option on there to purchase a license for quail, except for perhaps the NR hunt license, which is $142. Is that the only option for hawking quail, or am I missing something?

    Going.

Intermewed passage prairie, 6 yr old HH, and bird of the year HH, all new to and never flown by me so we'll just see where I'm at with them.

I plan to attend the meet, and look forward to seeing everyone. I will be taking my Albidus gos and hopefully thinning out the rabbit and quail population a bit. We had the OFA meet at the meet location in Elk city this past weekend. It looks like game numbers should be good for the meet. We saw lots of cottontails and quail and some jacks. The ponds had water and I expect duck hawking should be good for the meet.

    Hi Nick,

you will find most are coming in on that Friday or Saturday before the meet. There will be plenty of falconers who will be out hunting.

I decided to make the trip. Will be brining my imprint Finnish tiercel gos. He has about 30 crows under his belt this season.

I haven't been to a meet..... no idea what to expect.

Default Captain Gizmo goes to Elk City

I will be attending the NAFA meet. Plan for the Cheap Beep Project is to build transmitters on Thursday afternoon. Video for the first hour, then heat up the irons and just do it. DIY receiving antenna workshop if there is enough interest.

I plan to travel on the 12th and arrive the afternoon of the 13th. Out of Phoenix to Flagstaff and then East 40 all the way, with an overnight stop somewhere in New Mexico.

Available seats and space for a couple of giant hoods or other personals under the camper shell if anyone is looking for a ride or needs some stuff hauled.

Anyone still looking for a room? I have a spare bed at the Comfort Inn from Saturday to Saturday. Looking to split cost.
