    Default New Hampshire (USA) Falconer

    Hello everyone!

My name is Jason, I'm a General Falconer from the state of New Hampshire

Besides falconry, I play paintball, for hobbies I'm into micro pneumatics, PCB design, and CAD/Solid Works.

I work in the construction industry, doing cleanup/finish work/paving

I currently have my first bird (male red tail hawk), but will be looking to take a Goshawk in the spring if everything works out.

    Hi Jason,

Welcome to NAFEX. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself.

Please let us know how your RT does this year. Remember, it didn't happen unless pictures are posted

    Happy hawking,

    Chris

Here are a few photos from our First season together under my sponsor.
His speed was amazing that day!

This was just before the point from the dog. You can see the dog mid left, me and my RT "Gunny" in the center watching.

This was just after the dog pushed the flush. The quail broke a soft right 7 foot flight off the deck and headed for the tree line.
You can see in the upper right hand corner my glove hand and my RT taking flight for a pursuit!

Here you see my RT down in the ditch side of the road in a full mantle.
He nailed the quail before the thing ever made the tree line!

Making in for the first time in the field

He was regaining his footing on the quail in this photo.

This bird has seen the dog before but NEVER taken game or seen game flushed from the dog in the Falconer setup.
What you see here was a first for everyone.
Once this day was over,.... he would follow the dog no matter what. Locked onto the dog everywhere. The next time we went out it was horrible weather, and we STILL took a head of game.

This was my first (and by my sponsors words: the only time I will ever have a perfect day like this again) time out and everything worked perfectly.

Needless to say,.... my sponsor was happy with the results!
