Orange-breasted and Peregrine Prints by Schmitt
Print of Anatum Peregrine Falcon chasing a Band-tailed Pigeon. Signed and numbered 8 of 600 by the artist. Purchased from the artist at the 1979 Raptor Research annual conference at Davis, California, with the print hot off the presses.
Has been in a tube since then and is in unmarked, pristine condition.
Size of print is 18" x 22".

Print has one blemish, seen in photo number two to the left and below the signature. Brownish mark.

Over two hundred of his illustrations have appeared in various ornithological journals, magazines, and environmental newsletters including American Birds, Continental Birdlife, and Western Birds. His Journal's of John Schmitt were a hit for many years with readers of Birder's World magazine. He is on the staff of the Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology and is a well-known and well-regarded research biologist, natural history artist, and taxidermist. John has worked with the WFVZ in Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Borneo as a research associate.
