    Default imprint tanks

While looking at the imprint tanks I noticed that non of the tank were up off the floor or sitting next to a window. Is there a reason for this?

When in my office I'd sit it on top of my file cabinet next to the window, but as soon as he started trying to jump I'd keep the mesh top on it so he couldn't jump out. At home always on the ground so if he jumped out he didn't have far to fall. Also- and I don't know if this really has much of an effect or not, but by being on the ground and watching me move around normally I figured that would help him in the field since he would be use to me "towering" (at 5ft 3 I don't get to say that much ) over him. I carry this over to perches too- all of my birds have been on blocks or bows just tall enough that their feathers stay in good shape in the middle of high traffic areas like the living room.

Subspecies are defunct in modern systematic theory and have no place in current classification!
