Falconry bird with leash and possibly transmitter spotted

A woman in Danby, VT (near Glens Falls,NY) has contacted VT F&W to report an unidentified BOP which she believes
had a leash and possibly a transmitter hanging from it. A VT falconer looked around for a few hours and did not
spot it.

My guess would be that a reported bird with a leash was more than likely a wild bird carrying a snake.

A NY falconer who lives about 25mi from the woman who spotted it lost a falcon. Not sure if he recovered the bird this afternoon.
