East South Florida Falconry

Hi everyone,

My name is Robert and I've been interested in falconry for the better part of 5 years. However, I have not taken the steps to actually join the sport. As most of you that live in South Florida know, there aren't much people (in the Miami-Hialeah or Miami-dade area) that practice falconry. I'm posting on here in the hopes that I can get someone (that isn't an hour away from me lol) to sponsor me. I am trying to have a Merlin as my first bird specifically because I live on a golf course that contains a lot of Merlin prey, but I am open to getting other birds as I know Merlin are a tough bird to start with.

If you're radius is less than an hour away you're going to be disappointed. I grew up in South West Florida its a tough spot to get into falconry but can be done there are a few folks in your area.
