Here is a shot that my buddy took while walking the west Carson river looking for some trout to throw a fly at.

Indeed. A gift from Ken Hooke.

I wish I could be smart enough to do it justice!

Love this idea, not sure how I never saw this thread. I'll have to try and dig up some shots.

Nice to have some photos to help with the "wondering of what he looks like"

Thanks for offering up the "then and now" images.

    Hi Dan,

it's funny, but I never really kept any pictures of myself, as I was always embarrassed by my poor looks.
I look back with regret, at not keeping pictures from the days when I looked as good as I was ever going to. Heck, it's been downhill fast since

    Hope you're well,

    Tony.

    Tony,

Same with me. I have very few photos to look back on. I don't remember my parents taking any of myself with hawks and few taken since then with me in them. I'm usually the photo taker and the subject is the falcon or hawk.

Your last sentence is funny and reminds me of a plaque I saw anchored to a large boulder in Oregon's desert. The saying's of Rueb Long an old Oregon Rancher who's ranch was on the spot I was on. The first saying written on that plague said: " The older I get, the better I used to be ". At the time, I thought it was speaking to me. It still is.

Actually Tony I wished I looked as good as you do now. It would be an improvement for me for sure.

Yes, i harvested the doe during the 2012 archery season. This was my first archery deer kill. I butchered her myself and I'm still enjoying venison burgers and steaks from her!

    Hi Amanda,

it's not for me to give advice, as it's a species I have little experience with, but be warned, they become imprinted very quickly and can become terrible screamers!

    Best of luck,

    Tony.

    Thanks for the advice, Tony!

The quicker she imprints, the better! And fingers crossed, but we haven't gotten any screaming yet - but she does tend to foot a bit - and even with itty bitty talons, they still hurt!

Well, now that I have passed my exam and found someone patient enough to take me "under their wing", I hope I am official enough to post a couple pics. New to the photobucket thing, so bear with me. No bird yet, but how about an alligator?

One of yours truly. ( I am on the left) It's always a good thing when posting a picture of yourself to include others, it give people a chance to focus on something else other than your fading looks.
