German Wirehaired Pointer pups whelped 2/15/2009. 5 males/3 females. Both parents have hips x-rayed and have been vet checked. Both parents are AKC and NAVHDA registered. This will be a litter of great falconry/gun/testing dogs. The dam is a very sweet natured hunting dog. She was purchased for a field trial prospect and did well early on, but due to distance from trials has become a foot hunting dog. She is extremely athletic and adjusts her range well to fit tight cover or open range. The sire is a hunting machine. He is a gun/falconry dog. He has guided on ducks, quail, and pheasants across the south. He is alos a house dog that plays with our 4 year old daughter daily. We have high expectations for this litter.
