Which article is this and from where? Might save you some time if others could just look it up.

It is also pretty close to the description of how to raise imprint falcons in Bruce Haak's book "The Hunting Falcon".
FYI: One of the things that both the article and book do not do is to suggest keeping the eyas on ground food until you are absolutely sure they can always get enough to eat from whole carcasses. This is where most people make the biggest error in raising them when they misinterpret that the bird seems to be reducing its appetite when in fact it simply is not yet strong enough to regularly consume enough food to keep their manners in check. With some birds I have raised I was continuing to bring food along that was chopped (at least) when the birds were still being tame hacked....just to be able to top them off if they had been called in to feed on a carcass or baggie.

I sent it but may I suggest to others that if you aren't NAFA members, you should join and then you can purchase for only $10 the dvd of all the past NAFA Hawk Chalks and Journals from the NAFA store. The articles in all those past HC's and Journals is worth the $45 fee of joining NAFA, in my opinion.
