    Default Veloci

I think I will name her Veloci. Not sure of name yet, but when she sits she looks like a white velociraptor. She is a bit older now then these pictures. Just thought I would share them.

Ah I remember when my imprint coop looked like that, it seems like yesterday. Actually it was yesterday or maybe the day before Good lookin' little bird. The toes and legs of your bird look thicker and more stout than mine so I'm more confident that I got a male. Are you gonna start hawkin' it at penning or try tame hack? It would be interesting to compare your's, mine, Mark's and others starting an imprint coop this year and see how they all compare and what we all do differently.

it'll be fun to compare notes. I have decided not to tame hack for saftey reasons. Too many wild house cats and redtails hanging around. Not to mention my HHs in chain link fences. I am going to hunt as soon as she is ready.

If your not tame hacking, do you have a timeline kinda worked out on when to switch steps and so forth ?

yes, I have a good idea. I plan to have her hunting at penning or before. I will waist no time. Will just see how far along she will be as she develops. I will post some newer pictures later.

I need to name her something besides coops. She looks at me like she wishes I was a bit smaller so she could eat me like a gummy bear.

Good looking team, Rick! My dog won't get that close to the gos yet, except in the truck. Redtail, no problem anywhere. Maybe he knows something I don't.

    Rick,

Send me a PM if you want some company when you start hunting. I wouldn't mind driving up for a day one weekend.

Were almost there. Should be car hawking this weekend. Setting up some car baggies today. She is still a little fat and not quite hard pinned. I will let you know when we really start wacking stuff.

I have a few quail areas when the season opens. If you have any down your way I got a wirehair.

I am not sure if she is relaxed or exhausted from dragging around the leashes... I mean jesses. Tame or broke down you make the call.

I learned how to break them down like my wife does me with a long leash on each leg.
Hey will be hunting real soon. Should be smacking starlings this weekend. Come over I need a driver and I will let you hug my bird.

We call her Velci, Because my Daughter thought she reminded her of a Velociraptor, so she just kind of inherited Velci. Kind of like Velci-raptor. Next pictures will be hunting pictures. Hopefully this weekend she will kill her first wild prey. I checked her tail and she is just about pinned. Not quite, but ready to hunt. She flew yesterday at 434 grms and I have been able to drop her .2 every day and so far have kept a good attitude.I wish I had the guts to of free hacked her, but I work and just too many other predators for me to chance it. Including my HH's in chain link pens. So I chickened out.
