Transmitter

Looking for a good deal on a transmitter for a RT with a tail clip. I have a MN-10 so anything in the 216 range should be OK.

indeed this is a good transmitter. i started using one a few years ago and love it....get some extra antenna's for replacement when need'd....

Thanks for the link but I already knew how to find the new ones. That Marshall certainly looks like a nice one. Is it a magnetic on/off?

I thought that there might be somebody wanting to sell a used one that's still in good working condition.

a F&L mn-10 only has 10 channels and should only pick up 100 different Freq numbers.........like 216.000 to 216.099..... you might want to double check you receiver to see what it will pick up so you don't buy a transmitter with the wrong freq....

I'm loyal to LL Electronics www.radiotracking.com He helped me find my wayward prairie falcon 25 years ago. I was flying my new just hard penned eyass in Maryland. I have a LF-1 that I need to send in for a new antenna. I'll probably buy a LF-2 with spare antennas at that time and save the LF-1 as a spare. They seem like really nice people to deal with and turn around time is very quick.

I have the Merlin Systems 1/3N FMV transmitter on sale right now for $120.00. That is with a tail clip and shipping in the US. These are great transmitters with great range. Been using Louie's stuff since '83. They've always been super good to me. Heard he's got a new model out. Guess I'll have to make a road trip here in Aug. and go see.

i have too, but the Scout with it's 40 day life span on fresh batteries, on/off mag switch, low battery indicator and short antenna just sold me completely on it. not too mention the fact i hate messin around with those damned button batteries all the time....................
