    Darren,

Where in Ireland do you live? The only Irish falconer I've ever spent time with is Liam O'Broin, at his place up in Slane, but I know Ireland well, and have spent a fair amount of time over there. I'm certainly looking forward to my next trip. Maybe I'll catch you out in the field at some point. Looks like you're having a good time!

    Hi Dakota,
Yes and thanks the dog is a vital part of the hawking team, we have red grouse here but they are not plentyful and in decline, the season for them is fairly short one month, September only, i hope they might put a hunting ban on them for a season or two to help stabelize their numbers. We do have very good numbers of snipe and woodcock from November onwards which show good sport for falconers flying male peregrines (which we can take under licence 5 per year), as well as good duck, pheasant and partridge numbers.

    Thanks Darren.
