I hope this is an acceptable section in which to post this, but I thought one or two of you might be interested to see a short film by Stephen Lea (Marshall Direct), taken at the British Falconers' Club's recent International Field Meeting at Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire.
This event has been held every four years since 1969 (Foot & Mouth disease forced there to be a five year gap at one stage) and is the clubs 'flagship' event.
Shawn Hayes, an American falconer who may be known to some of you, came over and joined us for some fun times, as well as entertaining us with a presentation about the use of kites in falconry (by far the best attended and appreciated presentation in Woodhall's history I think).
It's always difficult to get an idea of a meeting by words alone, but this little film gives a real 'feel' of a day with one of the longwing groups (over the four days, 88 different farms/estates were used by various groups of longwings, shortwings and eagles).
The film can be accessed via this link;- http://www.vimeo.com/16240294

Many thanks for Marshall Direct for making it,

best wishes,

Tony.
