Lost my anatum/peales male peregrine with blue Marshall GPS leg mount. Caught a huge gust of wind was about half a mile up, enough to lose visual and my GPS lost signal/failed. Have not been able to reconnect. No visual. Been out everyday and I don't think he is in my area anymore. Poster has been made so community knows (get a lot of calls about soaring rth)
Lost in the Savona area near Kamloops BC Canada. Very stressed and upset.

Stories of finding your Lost falcon make me feel better please share

Sorry beeping freq 434.005mhz data freq 434.695mhz but battery should be dead now if it didn't malfunction when I lost the signal. He is 12 yo he is lure trained. Imprint. Flew falconry the first 2 years of life, last 10 he was a breeder. Only free flighted with me 3 times before lost so not in top fitness. I think the first two days were the time for him to get far on the wind. I don't think he will catch anything. Very disappointed and worried for him. My experience losing a different falcon before, he was found on the fifth day.

I sold a bird to a guy for abatement work once (female peregrine). Turned up on the front page of the Seattle Times eating a pigeon on a city sidewalk and still she got away. She was finally recovered 4 months later 300 miles away. Lost a bird in a refinery one February, recovered him in August in a warehouse less than a mile away. He flew in an air vent chasing a pigeon and couldn't get back out. Lived on squab until we recovered him in August. That bird is on the job still in S. CA. Keep looking downwind, he may end up in a rehab center or some such. How's that?

I've heard of months later, I'm hoping that he does manage to find food to give me a longer time to recover him. I don't sleep much about this. But there isn't really anything else I can do rather than sit and wait for that phone call that he's sitting on someone's deck! When do I "give up" and get another bird. I'll always have room for him!

Do you have access to a kite/drone/balloon and his favorite lure? Try those near the place you lost him at.
