Tiercel Gyr/Peregrine lost by a friend yesterday in Siskiyou county North West California. Tracked to the Fork of the Salmon then lost signal in the mountains heading south. Any Falconers in that area that could have a scan with the telemetry would be a great help! Transmitter on 216.095!

Still missing! 216.0059 sorry may have been a little out on first post. Took a plane ride over a huge area of the mountains, up to 10,000ft but still failed to get a signal! May even have moved down as far as the Redding area! Any and all help gratefully received!

Thanks to anyone who had a scan! I'm pleased to say the bird has been recovered about 90miles from the last place we got a signal! All's well that ends well!

Greg,
For curiosity, where did the bird get picked up? I live about 60 miles south of Redding, and got no signal. Glad to hear it got found.

It was found Nr Mount Hebron on the way to Klamath Falls! It had switched and gone back in the opposite direction! It had also removed the rubbers and batteries from the transmitters! It landed on the head of a farmer who then called a biologist who was banding in the area! He knew Dave Jameson and that was who bred the bird! All very lucky! The bird was weak and dehydrated after three full days out but is doing well! Thanks for looking!!
