Yep, they sure are. It is also great if you have spectators along with you, they get to watch and participate in the action. I think I have to cut my birds weight some. Yesterday when I had her out she would pull up one foot and fluff up, but would keep looking around and then move. It was 26 degrees so she was not cold. We well see this afternoon.

Nice shot Ev. congrats on the kill

Seeing that birdseed/feeders in the background reminds me of how much my father tried to get rid of the squirrels tearing up his bird feeders. He tried every contraption known to man. He even trapped 'em thinking that would take care of the problem, until he caught and moved over 60 squirrels in a 2.5 month period. I'll have to tell my dad falconry is the obvious solution.

The post with the platform on top is just an extra place to put seed. You can just see the metal bird feeder that will close when a bird that is to heavy or a sqr get on it. It is really the only feeder that will keep the sqr out of the sunflower seed. The small bird throw seed out on the ground and the sqr. come to feed on the seed. It is away nice to have some fresh food around just in case.
