Hi guys any advise. I got a 6 year old gyr he makes a scrape, food pass and jumps on hat but won't donate.

I know a guy who had a Peregrine and he had to manually strip the semen from the bird.

I know some one who's done that too. This bird jumps off the hat and drycopleate on block

Fly him!

I agree. Fly him. Unless he can kill grouse with his semen...

But different perspective accross the pond here. Trapping them is am option and that takes the pressure off of breeding.

So is he copulating on the hat? or trying to? ...or just jumping to it?

you may have tried this, but one thing that helps is to court him with food transfers and chupping at the scrape then turn away and ignore him......let him get worked up...and you can maybe whine a little...and leave just before he looks ready to jump. Maybe try this a couple times over several days and it might push him over the edge to copulating on the hat... or he might just be ready this year anyway.
