Welcome Dave,

The black brits are my favorite as well. I've been temped to try that breed a number of times and I can assure you if I ever run across that color here in the states I'll likely snatch one up.

The brittany over here seem to be quite different in build and shape to yours but I dont know about their working abilities I never used to liked them as a breed as I was a gsp man but a friend of mine talked me into having one about 15 years ago and I have had them ever since(no more GSPs) they are sutch a pleasure to work in the off season I love to go out and do a bit of training with them I am looking forward to starting a new puppy off this year as I intend to keep one back from a planed mating in the summer from Holly my bkack and white bitch

Dave

PS what do brits bring out there

I agree 100% that your Brit's are a differently built animal than ours. In fact, if I'm real honest, Americans have ruined far more dog breeds than we've contributed, but that's my own opinion.

I have been a GSP man most my life, in between them now, with a GWP. He is ok but I prefer my GSP.

I am still searching for the perfect smaller dog though...I added a Terrier to my mix and I can't say she is working out too well, but then again I might have seen that coming from a hard bitten dog breed.

I think Brits fetch around $500-$800 depending on wether they are french brits or "american" versions...also the breeders comand very different prices depending on our regions of the country, at least from what I've seen in the past.

Again, Good to have you here and I look forward to your contributions.
