I have been notified by CA Dept. of Fish and Game that they recovered a lighter colored hybrid falcon near Moreno Valley/Perris California in December. It had jesses and a band, but they have not been able to trace the band. It appears well trained and eats off the rehabbers fist.

The bird is currently at a DFG licensed rehab facility. This is all the information I have at this time but will edit this post when I receive more. Call 714-299-4587 if you think this is your bird.

Could it be a saker? I know that Mathew Kirkwood raises 20+ sakers every year and they don't need a fed band.

Could be, I have not seen the bird myself just going on what a DFG person told me. He said it resembles a prairie but he thinks it is a hybrid. It does have a band. I might get more information down the road.

Yea Ryan, stopped by California for Christmas and went hawking with Ron Brown and Gary Nolf. Good to see them again. Going to the Desert Hawking Classic in Casa Grande, Az on Thursday for a couple of days.
