I'm only 3 1/2 hours away and there's no way that there's any fresh corn around, it's been gone from the farmer's markets since mid September. I could check at a vegetable place in Albuquerque, they might have some from Mexico.

Well I called Wally World in Alamosa and they do not have any corn :eek: I know we had corn last time in Alamosa,just can't remember where I got it fromfrus) Got to have FRESH CORN!!! May have to bring it from here....don't know where I'm going to carry it though. This is another reason not to have any more meets in Colorado!!!

Is it too late to try to get the permits/paperwork to bring a falconry bird to the meet? I've been on the fence about it but thinking I might like to show my red-tail some jacks. However, I'm not sure what kind of habitat the jacks are in in Alamosa. Is it open grassy fields or thick cover? He'll probably only go for them if they are in cover and not out in an open field. Either way, can't wait to see everyone!

Brandon got his vet check yesterday & entry # this morning. If you're not going to be there first day, you'll need to get your CO falconry permit via the mail.

Only took two days to get my number, one day for the vet check and emailing a copy of the certificate and the next day I had the number.

Jim, FYI, if you got a non-resident CO falconry license, you don't need to get a hunting license.

OK I found out that there is only 120 people registered for the meet but more will show up. last year I had 300 sausage (10 packs) and just a hand full were left. I do not think I will not need that many,but want to have enough. they come 30 to a pack and I will be getting them tomorrow. I do not mind getting them as long as they are eaten. Through out some #'s so I will know how many to get. I'm thinking 6 -7 bags = 180- 210 sausage If ya'll think we need more I will get them.

I held back a little on sausage last year because I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to get some. I love the shrimp but when it comes to food I like convenience and it doesn't get much more convenient than meat neatly packed into it's own edible casing.:D

If you need green chili's, let me know. I have coffee every Saturday morning with my buddy Ed Stevens who is a chili roaster and seller. He gets his chili's from Hatch, NM, which is the chili capital of the world. His has mild and hot and he also sells chili's that have been cut up for salsa.

I was getting worried all I could find were JUMBO shrimp 9-12's that is 9 to 12 shrimp to a pound. My cousin just found 117 pounds of 22-25's same size as last year and picked them up for me. I will be heading out sometime tomorrow.
