I was driving around last weekend looking for new industrial parks and rabbit hawking spots, I made a wrong turn and ended up in a neighborhood. I kept driving into the neighborhood looking for a place to turn around my big truck and saw "Falconer Rd.". I had to stop and take a picture of that.

My male Harris on another rabbit. He's caught the last 2 off the t-perch and I'm loving the close action!

Here is my GSP pointing a rabbit in a new industrial park spot I was trying out. This spot is small and really public, but too good to pass up... the rabbits hide in this thick grass, and once the dog gets a point I can usually walk in and flush them into the open. It doesn't look very thick, but I could see rabbits creeping in front of me in there and lots of them.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about making that sign a wall ornament in the scale room in my hawk house... but I didn't think anyone would let me get away with hanging off a street sign in broad daylight trying to snap it off. My college apartment had a few street signs in it... the funniest one was from "Blue Ball Rd.". It's a real road name here... "google" it.

The GSP has been a lot of fun for me. I don't like to brag about my own dog too much :) but... she's pretty awesome. She has the perfect personality for my style, and I can hunt with her all day without having to say a word to her. She hunts close with me here on the East coast and on trips out west she has ranged enough to locate and point pheasants for me. I don't have hardly any upland birds in my area so I love it when she gets a point on a rabbit and I can walk in for the flush. With a good point and a hawk elevated on a t-perch it almost doesn't seem fair but... I have been known to shoot a few fish in barrels. :) ha! I hope this dog lives forever...
