I hate not having what I need 900 miles from home, so with almost 40 NAFA Meets under my belt, I use an exhaustive check list. . . .

Do I bring it ALL on EVERY long hawking trip? Of course not, but at least when I pull out of my driveway for 7 to 20 days on the road, I don't worry whether I've left anything at home.

Does anyone see anything I've missed on my list?

CO monitor for vehicle. Mine stays in the vehicle so isn't on my list either!

Bird and dog first aid kit. Possibly booties for the dogs if you do not have those nasty burrs from where you live. Check weight for your scale (had a scale go bad on me one nafa trip).

I left my house in New Mexico Sept 12th. I have 4 birds, i dog and my wife traveling with me. By the time I get back to New Mexico {Nov 6th}, my birds will have spent 19 full days in the trailer and the rest of the time they were in the mews set up in Pa. As soon as I get back to NM, then its time to start getting ready for NAFA. Good thing my birds trailer well.

Copies of your falconry license, hunting permits- out of state, duck stamp, migratory bird, etc. which I take a pictures of and keep in my cell phone, plus copies in my truck glove-box in a plastic folder
