Lost Tiercel Peals Perigrine in Kansas

My intermewed Tiercel Peales Peregrine was lost in south central Kansas, he is wearing a back pack with a RT+ 116.015. The last signal received was heading west. what time of day was he lost?... strong winds?, which direction? what does he hunt most?

He was lost mid afternoon, and was heading west when we lost the signal, We had a plane out looking the following morning, light winds from the southeast . He has hunted on waterfowl mostly.
