With the NAFA meet finally behind us it's time to focus on THA, Abilene, and the 2009 29th Annual THA Field Meet!!!
January 16-19, 2009 will be here before you know it so start making those plans today..
In this email you'll find information about the hotel, general meet info, and links to meet pre-registration forms, also included is a little something about Abilene.

The negotiated room rate is $65.00 per night and to guarantee your room, your reservations need to be made before January 2nd, 2009.

A couple of things to look forward to this year include changes to Saturday night's dinner banquet menu and yet another renowed and respected keynote speaker.
This year's keynote speaker is Bill Oakes author of The Falconer's Apprentice and owner of EagleWing Publishing. Bill also writes the "Beginners' Circle" column in American Falconry magazine. Bill's presentation, titled, "The Future of Falconry: Finding The Future In Our Past," promises to be entertaining, thought provoking, uplifting and challenging. And, yes, it will focus quite a bit on sponsors and apprentices because they are so important to our future as falconers.
By popular demand the 2009 field meet will not be serving the traditional barbeque dinner. Instead, we are going with something that's a little more "made from scratch" with an authentic Texas farm-cooking flavor. This is something new and I hope you all enjoy it.
Our schedule of activities is still taking shape in many different and interesting ways. Currently here's a run down of what we know:
