Newbie Still in Training

Hey everyone my name is Philicia, and as the title says I’m still studying. I would LOVE to fly a Kestrel as a first bird but I am having a difficult time finding a sponsor. I’ve been on hunts with RT's, HH's, Goshawks, and a couple of others. Though my dream is to eventually fly a Peregrine I hear that Kestrels are the way to start. I was hoping for some opinions.
What do you think about a Kestrel as a first bird?
What makes them harder/easier first birds?
Is anyone close to me willing to sponsor me?

(welc) Philicia, you will find out real fast you have ask a loaded question when it comes to kbirds. Some people do real well with them, but some do not. I would say no but that is JMO. I am sure you will get more information. Have fun and post often.

I have been told that the best intro into long wings is a kestrel. Well we will see what happens. :D
