Steve, I never get over feeling silly about claiming to be a falconer. The other day, at my granddaughter's birthday party, my wife told someone that I was a master falconer and I started looking for someplace to hide.

Welcome and its good to have you on this site. Thats great hearing there are some goshawks nesting in MD I live in VA and I have heard mention that we have our own nesting birds down here. I went to Highland County its up in the mountains and looked around one weekend a few years back but didnt find anything but the habitat looked great for them. I did find 2 coopers nests this year which was cool.

Steve,

I'm actually moving to NM this fall, otherwise i'd be more then happy to go hunting. Maybe over my christmas break when my parents are making me come home for a week?

If you want the info on where i almost caught the gos send me a PM. I dont know if it will help you with your study or not. It was a very nice female immy... would have loved if the DNR cop didn't drive by it [scaring the bird away, it had landed next to the bc] and then proceed to ask me 1000000 questions.

Ok i was just wondering if it would help you, didn't know if it would or not.

It was a guy in his 30's or so who stopped me. It was the opening day of deer season so the guy thought we were shooting deer from the car as others drove them [right next to a big woodlot w/ lots of blaze in it]. We got everything straightened out but the gos was long gone.

Steve,
Great to have you here. Great pictures [smilie=icon_thumright.gif]. Nice to have more breeders on the boards. How long have you been breeding Gos hawks? How old are your pairs?

You sound like a great addition to the boards, I look forward to reading more of your posts. If you need anything please dont hesitate to ask.

If you want a different avatar send me a email with your picture to admin (@) nafex.net.. I can make one in about 2 min for you. It can be a pain in the butt to make them, but I have a program that shrinks them down and keeps the quailty at the best.

let me know

again welcome to the forums,

Chris

Chris - I'm not a breeder. Unless you are asking about my daughter, she is a cute chick, but I don't intend to make any more.

she is cute. The faces she makes in the pictures are great.
