Hello, I'm not a falconry person, but an academic interested in developing a case study of falcons as an ecosystem service. A more commonly known example of an ecosystem service is that of honeybees for crop pollination. It would be exciting to gather data on falcons as another example.

Does anyone know whether there are records on how many falconers in the US (or elsewhere), rent/use their birds to clear pest birds from airports/vineyards and such?

Many thanks if you could forward this question to others who might know.
Sincerely, Sara

Hi, Sara!

PM sent. I'm a beekeeping supplier/inspector/beekeeper/blah blah blah, and have an interest in your focus of research. Can't help you with the falconry question (others here can point you in the right direction) but I can help you with honey bee/mason bee info.
