A falconry bird was sighted today wearing jesses and a hood. The poor bird had worked it head thru the beak opening of the hood and was seen flying around the Windermere area. If you know anyone that is missing a hawk please pass this information along. Neal Ottoway

(This was posted by Kitty Tolson at raptorsnest. I saw it this morning and re-posted it here. Is anyone in the Orlando area who can go trap the bird???)

Another email from Neil Ottoway says the bird is believed to be a Harris' hawk. Exact location is not determined, other than Windermere.

Here is the latest from Neal as of yesterday.

Last report was by audobon they had a report it seems to be a harris but no one has got close enough to make a fiem ID. No photos as of yet. You know exactly what I know but I do expext more news to come and will keep you posted.

Good luck in finding the bird. Probably Audubon in Maitland can give you more information.
