Hi, I just joined to gather information. I am looking to apprentice with someone in the New Orleans area(or southern LA/MS). My brother is also interested in falconry, so it would be a neat thing for us to do together.

I also have horses and dogs(and cats and rabbits).

Sorry, my name is Brandi! I am also a geology student at the University of New Orleans, and I work for the LA State Racing Commission at the Fair Grounds Race Course during the racing season.

Welcome to NAFEX! Thanks for introducing yourself. There's lots of information here and many knowledgeable folks to answer your questions.

Geologist? I have a couple of degrees in geology/geochemistry, been working as a geochemist/hydrogeologist for 20 some years.

Hi Brandi,
welcome to Nafex!!! I get down to New Orleans from time to time (heading down for Jazz fest as a matter of fact) ...I love it down there! There are a few falconers in your area...PM and I can maybe get you intouch with them :)

Kinda, I work on sites where they do, or would like to store nuclear waste....ummm goood!

My skills also come in handy for manipulating water for the brewing of beer.

I'm not much of a dowser.....

Yes, I recently discovered my interest in geology, so am pursuing my degree. In fact, I have an interest in hydrology. I'll have to consult you when I have questions!
