I seriously hope that one got away. We need his genes in the pool. ;)

Plus the only reason he'd get caught if he was exhausted. Running out of gas it wouldn't be so spectacular a catch. (IMHO)

I have noticed that blacktails rarely jump but did catch one in mid air with one of my falcons a couple of years ago.
Whitetails on the other hand will jump at the drop of a hat and are interesting to fly to say the least.
The arabian hares are very agile and turn and jump at will fooling young falcons easily i would imagine.

If you watch it closely, it is several chases with different rabbits. Good video though, and some good moves to boot.

pretty awesome rabbit.
That is a worthy opponent and why they keep so many of us enthralled in chasing them! Every once in a while you get that flight where you see the best of the hawk and the rabbit. I am one of those guy's who finds himself rooting for the rabbit to win.
