Hi peoples!

I just found your site. I am an interested outsiders hoping to learn more about your sport.

I have already done a bit of reading (The Red-Tailed Hawk, McGranaghan, and some test prep materials), and I am planning on doing some more. I have not requested an apprentice packet from the DNR yet, nor have I called any of the number they provided for prospective apprentices, but its on the agenda for the next week or so.

I am not ready to start into the sport at the moment, but I am hoping to meet and talk to some people to learn more for a possible apprenticeship next season. Id really love the opportunity to beat some brush this winter. I have some hunting access on some promising farmland in north Baltimore County that we could give a go if anyone would be interested.

Anyway, thats about it I suppose. I suppose I should be calling around to speak to people instead of bothering you guys, but I am sure there is a ton more I can learn in the meantime. :D

Well, I left a message for Mary at the DNR in regards to a packet. Since I havent heard back from her yet, Ill try bugging her again on Monday.

This is a great forum. Ive been on here reading pretty much every day since I signed up, and I am amazed at the wealth of information I am finding (and at how much my practice test scores have improved simply by reading this forum :D ).

Bill and Ken, I am going to really start bugging you guys after the upcoming Turkey Day; I hope you dont mind too much. If there are any other Marylanders that dont mind being bothered, feel free to volunteer right here. ;)
