Hey Tom like to hear big bird is coming together,I did go out the other day but just for a little while, but the bird did good he triple cased a rabbit but it was so thick he just kept crasing and not getting through to it but was one exciting chase, I know what your talking about with the weather, it's been bitter cold here and about 4" of snow, keep in touch and enjoy big bird.
Hi Bill. Hope all is going well....sorry to hear you were down with an injury. My rt is doing well. We have been getting hammered with snow and cold weather so last weekend was a bust for me. I hope to have some success hunting this weekend with her. She is a doll of a rt. Totally tame but all busines in the field. Iwill keep you posted. Hope you feel better!
Tom how are you doing and how is big bird doing is she really in the game now, send me a message and let me know how things are going. I myself can't get over injuries. Frist I pulled some thing in my groin and now I'm dealing with a pull tendon in my akle seems like almost every time I go out I come back hurting somewhere age must be catching up with me. OH well I guess I'll keep on keeping on until I'm down and can't get up. We are looking at a few inchs of snow so I'll try to get out and see if I can't roll a ct or two this week. Tom; If I was going out Friday to hunt I would just not feed her today, but a day of hunger on her and see how well she does then, I do it all the time with new birds and it work very well,try it and see if it helps turn her on better, it will not hurt her she will just be more into the hunt. Bill
Hi Bill. Things are going well. Free flew her last weekend at 48 and she was slow coming to the glove. I have her down to 46.7 now and she is getting more aggressive at feeding time so I think she will hunt at 46. I am going out with her Friday so I will let you know how I make out. Take care!
