ok Ryan, i asked the Fafex board people to scrub the post.
Hi Ryan, I am sorry if you think that Lake Matthews is a secret to any falconer in the area. Most of the land there is all protected under the supposed endangered SKR species et al. I will out of respect for you and our fields not mention it again. I do not think that we will be invaded by falconers from around the area. You have to live here to fly here. Or it is just a weekend thing. Ryan, sorry for the post, I will not mention it again.
Ryan, I have a question for you. I was going to take my golden eagle to the Prairie Chicken Festival here in New Mexico. The organizers of the festival were really excited about it. When I notified USFWS about it, they said absolutely no because it might frighten the breeding Prairie chickens. We informed them that the eagle would not be flown free and would not be any where near the prairie chickens. They still said no. The organizers of the festival told USFWS that the goldens were migrating through that area right now and it certainly didn't frighten the prairie chickens. My eagle permit was just renewed last month and I am perfectly legal. What do you suggest? Should I request the federal reg that allows USFWS to tell me I can't transport my eagle to that area? Jim
