Hey John,

I trapped a Redtail early November, it took me some time to figure out how to hunt cottontail here in Central Oregon, it's nothing like California. We had a terrible bad Winter with deep snow that made December a hard month to hunt at all. I tree hawk in Juniper forest and often just get to see pieces of the chase. My Ida hunts with all her heart, I think I've lost her today, she went after something the other direction, and if it's catchable, she'll catch it. I think she nabbed it in cover and we just couldn't find her. I thought I heard both bells once but couldn't find her. That forest I was hunting goes really all the way to Idaho. We'll search again tomorrow. Next year I'll invest in a used telemetry unit.

oh so you have a falconry licenses already what level are you?

thanks yea i pass the state falconry test already now im taking my hunters safety class and ill be taking a test for that on may 8th hopefully i pass!! i also just recently bought a GSP ill be training to hunt with me ass apprentice yea hopefully ths year would be nice lol! have you ever hunted

hi there i been a member on here for about two years and i haven't become a falconer yet but i plan on it this year i always come to corona i have friends that live in the area maybe if i found a master falconer looking for apprentices ill let you know!

Hey John, I flew Corona a lot back in the day. But now it is building up. I was just down there in summer visiting mom for Christmas. My brother is in that area. Even with the building that went on over the last decade, there is still plenty of open land and plenty of small bits of pond with ducks. And it is all close to you. So. Cal is still a big place. Especially if you car breaks down. I am glad we get to reconnect.
