Hey Hey. I can't really take full advantage of the Biography section of this so I'm putting it all here

Hi, my name is Joy, I'm 15 and I love birds, and ballroom dancing. I am currently the apprentice to a local bird rehabber. I have raised approx. 50 some odd birds, all of which unprotected species. I plan to get my rehabber's license as soon as I can.

I am currently unable to house any other birds so I'm going to wait until I am out of veterinary school, to get any birds of my own, but I would like to apprentice to a falconer in my area to learn exactly how to take care of them, what all is required to keep them physically and mentally healthy and what is required to legally keep them.
I hope that when I do get a bird it will be an owl, but I am going to make sure I have the resources, funds, and all the contacts needed to care for them. I am planning on building a mews, and having a separate freezer for food before I get the bird. Since I work with a rehabber, I do know a vet in my area that takes care of raptors. I want to be physically, mentally, and financially prepared to take on the responsibility that comes with falconry.

This being said, I would love to know if there are any falconers in my area that would like to apprentice me, so that I can be mentally and physically prepared for keeping raptors.

This the other part of my biography; I love ballroom dancing and music as well. I have dance class on fridays which is not very relevant to this forum, but its what I love doing, in second only to doing anything with birds; playing with my pigeons (yes I realize that they are prey animals, and I plan to keep the 2 that I have in their little loft while training my bird.), or simply watching the wild birds in my area.
Hey there! If you have bothered to read this far then thank you for caring enough to read this. It might seem like ranting (it kinda does to me) but I really want a raptor, but I don't want to get it until I know I can properly care for it, which given the current situation I can't. Thanks again!
