Hey guys and gals
Hi everyone, I'm chris, and I'm interested in getting started falconing. I am 16 and live in Virginia. I first took up interest in falconry after reading "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George. I am a hunter as it is, so having a bird to hunt with would be an awesome challenge. It would be awesome to get an apprenticeship. I was informed about y'all from one of the guys at Raptor Repertoire. Thanks, chris.

3 and a half hours drive. It's up above Richmond. I'm almost to the nc state line. Why, what's up?

Chris, contact the Virginia Falconers Association and I am sure they will help you get started. They had a meet last weekend in Harrisonburg and I believe they have another in Winchester in February. You should try to attend and meet some of them.

Ok, you're not too far away either Fred. Only a couple hours' drive.

I don't live in VA but my uncle does and I go up there sometimes. I am not a falconer yet but am on my way!

Nice, how hard is apprenticing to be a falconer?
